I am an avid reader of travel blogs, especially over the last few years since I’ve been travelling around the world more often. I enjoy reading them to hear about interesting and unique travel stories, to admire beautiful photography of incredible places and, of course, to get new ideas for my next trip and to add adventures to my ever-growing bucket list.
There are millions of travel blogs out there – with a good majority of them saved to my bookmarks or sending me emails daily. To help you out, I’ve put together a list of my favourite travel blogs that I read on a regular basis and those that I think you should consider and will enjoy reading in 2015. If you’re not following these blogs already, I guarantee that you’ll be subscribing and adding them straight into your bookmarks!
Some of these blogs are popular and quite well-known, where as others are new, up-and-coming blogs that have already caught my attention! I hope that you find some new faces on this list to inspire you and your travels.

Since leaving her hometown in New York in 2009, Alex has spent the last three years (and counting) on the road. From Southeast Asia, to Central and South America, to Europe – her travel stories are always honest, entertaining, informative and 100% full of adventure and adrenaline. Not only is her writing fantastic, she has a great eye for detail as shown by her incredible photos in every single post. As mentioned in my Liebster Award post, Alex is one of the main travel bloggers who inspired me to travel more and start my own travel blog. So get excited and enjoy following her adventures!
Kiersten left her corporate finance career behind and has since traveled to over 40 countries around the world. The Blonde Abroad is a place for Kiersten to share her advice on incredible destinations around the world, travel tips, fashion and festivals.
Brooke has been living out of her suitcase during 2014 but has now settled down as an expat in Berlin, Germany. Since beginning her blog a couple of years ago she has visited almost 50 countries across 6 continents. Along with her beautiful photography, expect to find some great bucket lists and inspirational posts about solo travel.
Sabina is a twenty-something female travel blogger like myself. Her posts are creative and fun, she has a real talent for engaging writing. Whenever I’m reading her newest post, I always seem to find myself flicking through her other posts 10 minutes later! Her blog covers her travels, with a touch of fashion, lifestyle and empowering words and inspiration for other twenty-somethings.
Stephen and Jess are a jet setting couple from Australia. They provide great posts every single day – from travel tips, bucket lists and advice on various destinations. So far their plans for next year are bringing them to the USA and Canada, and I can’t wait to read about all of their future adventures!
Ashlea is another Australian travel blogger on my list! She is relatively new and has some interesting content to share! Her blog features budget travel tips, inspiration for offbeat adventures and helpful advice for travel planning. Beginning in mid-2015, she’ll be travelling to Fiji, America, Mexico, Peru and Bolivia. With fantastic long-term travel plans coming up, I know I’ll definitely be reading in 2015!
Kate is a British expat who has spent the last 3 years travelling through Europe, and has now settled down in Germany. Currently, she has been blogging about expat life, incredible destinations in Europe, as well as the occasional blogging tips and tricks.
Shing has a thirst for experiencing new cultures and adventures. Her blog, The Culture Map, has a strong focus on all things about London, Scandinavia and the Arctic. Her intriguing posts have me addicted and constantly result in me dreaming of new and beautiful places. Her blog has opened my eyes to places I thought were unreachable for some one as money conscious as myself.
As the name suggests, Miriam is all about adventure! From biking down Death Road and boarding down an active volcano, Miriam is always going outside of her comfort zone and documenting every moment of it! She’s a travel addict who is drawn to exotic and off the beaten track destinations. I’m sure there are plenty of adventures still to come!
Be My Travel Muse focuses on adventure, cultural and off-the-beaten-path travel. Kristin often posts about the more intriguing and unusual sides to a city, as well as various travel planning and budget guides. With an amazing adventure through Africa to come in 2015, I could not be more excited to read her blog over the next year!
I am always excited whenever a new post from Hand Luggage Only pops up on my Bloglovin’ feed! This is a travel, food and home inspiration blog that always has me adding new places to my bucket list. Be amazed by the beautiful places Lloyd and Yaya visit and their gorgeous photography.
If you haven’t heard of Adventurous Kate yet, where have you been? She’s one of the most popular solo female travel bloggers to date. Kate quit her job when she was 26 and has since turned travelling the world into a full-time career. She is an honest and entertaining writer – always sharing both the good and bad experiences that come with travelling the world.
The Love Assembly is the perfect place to go if you’re wanting to read about various travel destinations, fashion and style, and delicious food for the sweet tooth. Aubrey, the creator of The Love Assembly, has recently become the first Condé Nast Traveler Australian blogger. So keep an eye on her for 2015, she is definitely going places!
Monica is a British travel blogger who focuses on stylish adventure travel for those on a budget. She shares her latest adventures, travel tips and inspiration on her blog. Monica recently shared some exciting news about her baby on the way, but she is still determined more than ever to continue travelling and exploring new places!
With an endless supply of travel tips and advice on affordable travel, Twenty-Something Travel is the perfect website to research your next trip and get information on different types of travel including RTW travel, expat living and studying abroad. Stephanie has been to five continents and over 40 countries, and still has so much more to see and do!
And of course, the list wouldn’t be complete without a shameless plug for myself. I’m a twenty-something girl from Australia who has a bucket list longer than a novel. My blog shares my travel stories, travel tips and inspiration, and what it’s like navigating the world as a twenty-something.
